Psychology in advertising

Advertisements are sometimes spoken of as the nervous systems of the business world. ‘Walter, D. Scott – 01/01/1904

Good advertising uses psychological techniques to entice the consumer to buy or use their product. One psychological ploy used is to take a product you are trying to sell and to put it next to other ads or items that your audience already has positive feelings towards. Those positive feelings may be passed onto your product. This technique is called affective conditioning.
